Hi married ! Who are you and how do you know Eudoxie's daughters!?
I am a Marketing student, and I am 21 years old. You might wonder how I ended up on a photoshoot for Eudoxie, so I'll tell you! It all started last year when I was looking for an internship to validate my Bachelor's degree. I saw the advertisement for the Eudoxie intern position and I immediately liked the message, the universe and also the design of the clothes!
I was lucky enough to be accepted and I was able to live daily life with Camille and Caro for 6 months. It was a really great experience, I discovered a world that was totally unknown to me and I really enjoyed it, whether it was the meetings, the projects or the clothes 😉 !
AN ADVENTURE THAT MARKED YOU WITH THEM?
I want to say that maybe this meeting is destiny ahaha because finally a year later I am still a little part of the adventure, I still have to pass my motorcycle license but it won't be long! I try to support them at my level and it always makes me happy to see them again and see Eudoxie evolve!
I also want to point out that they are the ones who made me love beer by taking me to festivals with Italian rockers. 😉 ahah, but that's just one thing among many others, we've experienced a lot of crazy stories during these 6 months!
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MODELING?
I've been interested in modeling since last year, I actually started during my internship at Eudoxie. I was able to do my first shoot with Selfie's Mag because the girls were kind enough to let me leave early so thanks again girls!
For those who don't know Selfie's, it's a Bordeaux fashion magazine that uses amateur models! What's good is that we are all supported to progress, we organize workshops, we train, we learn tips to get good results, etc. So it's really a proactive approach where everyone gets involved!
It's a world that really attracts me and it's incredible to see a part of it, it's really impressive results and great encounters that I wouldn't have been able to have in my daily life.
WHAT DID YOU THINK?E OF THE DAY?
At first I was a little intimidated because I had never shot in a setting other than Selfie's with a rendering issue for a brand! I was putting a little pressure on myself but honestly everyone immediately put me at ease!
Miguel the photographer was super nice and it helps a lot to relax and let go. Guillaume, the owner of Atelier M had heated the room where I was changing, thank you for that because it was really cold in the garage! And Caro reassured me and guided me! She seemed happy with the result so that motivated me a lot too!I can't wait for the next photoshoot! ahaha!
DID YOU HAVEEJA SHOOTHOW ABOUT THE BULLET TIME TECHNIQUE?
Bullet Time? No, never! It was a first and it's really impressive at first I didn't really know which device to look at among the 16 aimed at me! But gradually I got my bearings! I had seen a bit of this kind of rendering on Instagram and it was interesting to see the process in real life and to realize all the work that goes into it!
Miguel: the photographer
WHAT KIND OF PHOTOGRAPHER ARE YOU?
Hi Caro! I am Miguel Ramos, a professional photographer in Bordeaux for almost 4 years. I mainly provide my services to professionals: from corporate portraits to reporting, product photography and commercial illustrations. Alongside this work, I produce more personal and artistic photography, navigating between portrait and landscape. But what would characterize me the most would be that I am always looking for new ways to produce images. My latest project? It is The Orbit Studio which offers a whole range of creative ideas around the Bullet Time that we used here!
BULLET TIME? WHAT IS IT?
Bullet time is, to put it simply, the matrix effect that everyone knows! A frozen moment and a "camera" that rotates around the subject. An impressive 3D effect. If the final concept is simple, the process is quite complex as you could see during our shooting 🙂
Basically, it involves aligning several identical cameras (here 16 but I can deploy 24!) around the subject to be photographed and they all trigger at the same time, so we get a series of photos of the same subject at the same time but with as many angles as there are cameras. We get a video where we literally turn around the subject, like a 3D vision.
This type of installation is effective for event animations and weddings in the form of a photobooth, but also for fashion and audio-visual production... Visually, the possibilities are almost unlimited!
WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF THIS TECHNIQUE?
Clearly fun, a strong visual impact and a new dimension to fashion photography. The effect is dynamic and offers plenty of innovative visual possibilities. Freezing a movement and rotating around it, in the context of fashion photography, is great because you can see from several angles how a garment falls, for example. The idea is also to offer brands original content.
HOW WAS THE PHOTOSHOOT?
Apart from the great atmosphere that was there that day, and the great welcome from L'atelier M de Guillaume in his superb custom garage, it is the fact that Marie quickly adapted to the exercise. She quickly forgot that it was a photoshoot and knew how to play and have fun with the lenses, pure fun! 😉 So, you can see it in the videos!
Guillaume - Atelier M
INTRODUCE YOURSELF AND TELL US ABOUT YOUR WORKSHOP M!
My name is Guillaume, I am 32 years old and I am the creator of Workshop M. I started riding a motorcycle when I was 7 years old, and it has never left me. After professional training as a heavy goods vehicle technician and then as a salesperson in the automobile industry, I wanted to return to school to create my own motorcycle workshop.
In 2016, I started looking for premises, and 6 months later, I set up Atelier M in this old water mill, in Bas Madère in Villenave d'Ornon. Marc, my friend and oldest employee, joined me very quickly given the explosion in activity.
Unfortunately, 1 year after opening the workshop, I cremated my father and took over his restaurant in Bordeaux Nord, alongside the garage. After turning the establishment around, I sold it to devote myself to 100% at Atelier M.
After 3 years of activity, I got a new location in the building I dreamed of just opposite our old mill. For a year now that we have been in this new location, it has continued to be improved, perfected and is becoming more and more efficient. Paul (BTS apprentice) and Luca (retraining) have joined us since September 2019 and January 2020 respectively to expand our team.
WHY THIS NAME?
I called my garage Workshop M, because I love ALL motorcycles and there are no divisions in our country. My philosophy, my life choices, mean that I like to repair what is broken, maintain and perfect what can be improved. I love people, local businesses, neighborhood life and above all, I love traveling (as much as possible by motorcycle). This is the DNA of Atelier M.
WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY LIKE AT ATELIER M?
There is no typical day at Atelier M: each file, each day is different. Some tasks come up regularly (that's the nature of a business leader...) but generally speaking, no two days are the same. That's a good thing, and it's my role to make sure it continues like this, to reinvent ourselves every day, to improve, to repair, to develop...
YOUR VISION OF MOTORCYCLES IN BORDEAUX?
There are quite a few events and movements, of all philosophies. People know each other, meet and meet again. The general atmosphere is good! With friends, we created the association Our Lady Motorcycle following the first Distinguished Gentleman's Ride of BordeauxAt first a simple garage shared between friends, then an association garage in Villenave d'Ornon.
Since then, we organize every year in September The Regular : a motorcycle orienteering race where it's good to get lost and the DGR Parade: a stroll focusing on male diseases. With all this, we hope to create a bond and unite as many Bordeaux bikers as possible, around noble causes or simple wild rides. But the watchword remains "Rouler", or ride as the young people say ;p!
WHAT WAS THE WORKSHOP THAT TURNS INTO A PHOTO STUDIO LIKE?
The day was great, amazing gear, great model, adorable partner, very cool photographer (by the way he promised me photos of me, maybe soon..!) See you when you want for a new session! Or even just for a drink by the way…!
